Whether it’s your first time experiencing ski lessons, you want to improve your technique or you are looking to build your confidence on the snow, learning in a small group will offer you a memorable holiday experience, for all the right reasons. At The Snow School, we pride ourselves on offering progressive and enjoyable tuition in Meribel for small groups of adults and children.

How will I learn in a group?

The Snow School defines each level in detail to help you to choose the correct stage and then participate in a class accordingly, with skiers of a similar ability or with comparable goals. Adults and children alike benefit from small class sizes and your instructor will tailor the lessons to the group, keeping everyone moving, optimising your time on the piste and helping you to advance more quickly. Small group numbers, with a maximum of 4 skiers in our low season lessons, ensure that your instructor can observe everyone effectively, provide individual feedback and demonstrate specific corrections and techniques.

What’s the atmosphere like in the group ski lessons?

Our instructors have been selected for their professional and friendly style that keeps the learning fun, and their passion for their sport is contagious and provides an immediate connection within the class. Small group skiing is an enjoyable and sociable way to improve your knowledge of skiing and skills on the snow, and in our experience, we find that everyone’s enthusiasm for the mountains is a natural ice-breaker. You won’t be stood around getting cold, so catching up with your new classmates will mainly occur on the chair lifts! Building a rapport with fellow skiers can be a great way to continue your improvement during your tuition or even be the basis for finding a buddy of the same ability outside of the class.

What are the other benefits of learning to ski in small groups?

Our small class sizes represent great value for money. The low skier to instructor ratio means that you will receive the attention and direction you need to learn quickly and the time to practise your new skills with expert guidance close at hand. Our personalised approach to learning also serves to improve confidence and our students thrive in these groups, where they can be seen and instructed as individuals. Our ski instructors will build your understanding and technique to make sure that you get the most out of your stay in Meribel.
