Set against the stunning backdrop of Mont Blanc, the popular French ski resort of Chamonix caters for skiers and snowboarders of every age and ability.
Whether guiding beginners onto nursery slopes or helping experienced skiers to explore Chamonix’ faster runs and breath-taking off-piste areas, our ski schools offer a range of expert ski tuition, including family skiing lessons, children’s ski lessons, and private skiing tuition.
As the oldest ski resort in France, Chamonix hosted the first ever winter Olympics in 1924. Still charming visitors with its charming Victorian era and Belle Epoch style buildings, the resort offers guests a wealth of shops, restaurants and entertainment.
At 1,035m (with a top lift altitude of 3,842m), Chamonix is a superb base for skiiers, with excellent snow conditions throughout the season (December – May) and versatile 150km range of pistes (and 15,000 acres off-piste to explore) where everyone can enjoy the excellent terrain and epic landscape.
Chamonix is approximately 1 hour from Geneva airport, and just 5 minutes from the local Chamonix and Argentiere train stations.
