Wondering where to go skiing this summer?  Looking for a destination with reliable snow cover? Come skiing with us on the Grande Motte at Tignes, France.

The Grande Motte is regarded as the best summer skiing destination in Europe with reliable and scenic skiing above 3000m.

Base yourself in any of Tignes’ villages to take advantage of our summer ski lessons and ski guiding throughout July and August.   For easiest access to the glacier we recommend staying in Val Claret or Tignes-Le-Lac.  For lessons we meet at the bottom of the funicular in Tignes, unless this is changed by prior agreement.

The Snow School is highly regarded, providing BASI qualified English instructors.  We use the VAK system for lessons.  Instructors use auditory, visual and kinaesthetic information and prioritise presentation of information based on the best way an individual learns.  This means instructors’ tailor tuition even in group classes and clients learn more quickly.

Our summer skiing activities are available to anyone aged 4 or older and any level of ability.  The glacier itself includes runs for all levels.  Prices are based on 2 people with each additional skier costing just £10pp.  4 hours cost £180 and 3 hours £140. Therefore, a group of 4 skiing for 4 hours will cost just £200.   Mixed ability groups are welcome.

Lesson times are determined by access to the glacier so start times are available between 7.30 and 1.15 – first lift of the funicular and the last cable car.  The funicular takes you to the glacier in as little as 7 minutes.

Whether your main interest is in improving your technical proficiency or improving confidence or just exploring the Grande Motte our instructors will cater to your summer skiing requirements.  There’s nothing quite like skiing on the Grande Motte in summer sunshine.
